A new bridge was recently installed over the concrete culvert on Atlantic Way Trail. This beauty, built by John Riordan, who did an expert job designing it, and Jim Burnell, replaces the old one which, after many years and much use, had deteriorated to the point of no return. Many, many thanks to John and Jim along with several other volunteers who showed up on Saturday morning to carry the structure in about 700' on the trail. After the frame of the new bridge was installed, the decking was carefully put into place and the old bridge carried out to the road. John and Jim then continued to work on securing the decking and other finishing touches.
