Week of green
Join Saco Bay Trails for a week of "Green is Cool." We'll be celebrating the week of Earth Day (April 18 - 25) with a cleanup, a discussion of trails and some time in the brand new and very green transportation center in Saco. Here are the details:

Saturday, April 18: Join us at Clifford Park in Biddeford for our 4th annual cleanup. We'll be there from 9 a.m. to noon. We'll fan out through this amazing piece of property to remove trash and get it ready for the coming season. We'll provide trash bags, gloves and water. Wear sturdy shoes, or boots (it's usually wet). It's a great way to celebrate Earth Day and spring!

Wednesday, April 22: We'll be at MacArthur Library from 7 - 8 p.m., speaking about our group and trails that you can find in your neighborhood. It's a great opportunity to learn about a free and easy way to get out and enjoy nature.

Saturday, April 25: If you haven't visited the new transportation center (train station) on the top of Saco Island, you should. It's a beautiful building. As part of Saco Spirit's "Green is Cool" celebration, we'll be at the center throughout the day. We'll have information about Saco Bay Trails, as well as a calendar of upcoming events for the 2009 season.
